A guy I went to high school with recently contacted me (wow, blast from the past) and wanted to know if I could paint his wife as a Disney princess for Christmas. I happily took on the commission, but I took a more storybook approach so that she could be her own princess and not cast into another princess's mold. I'm actually kind of happy with how this one turned out. It was my first time painting a castle and also my first time painting trees in a stylized way. I definitely had a lot of fun with this one.
Watercolors on Strathmore cold press watercolor paper, lined with Micron pens, and touched up with an extra fine white, oil-based sharpie.
